“Erasmus+ 2021-2027: state of play two years after”

Vito Borrelli, European Commission, DG Education and Culture

Since September 2022, Vito Borrelli is team leader of the Erasmus+ programme – Higher education in DG Education, Youth, Culture and Sport (EAC). Before that, he was for five years deputy Head of the EC Representation in Italy and Head of the Political Sector. Until September 2017 he was for 6 years Head of sector for the Erasmus Mundus programme and Jean Monnet Actions.
He was responsible for China in DG EAC, in charge of the coordination of the EU-China High Level People-to-People Dialogue (HPPD). He has many years of experience at the European Commission, where he has worked since 1994. Before taking up his current responsibilities, he was involved in external relations, information, communication and translation activities
